2 3/4" Planting Auger

Used when additional site preparation is necessary or desired. Use the auger to drill a hole approximately as deep as the cutting (or root ball of a bare root planting) is long. This will give you extra room to add high quality soil and moisture retention medium. You will net a hole that is approximately 3" after drilling. Requires a drill with a 3/8" or larger chuck. Don't try to use this in rocky ground, you will be disappointed.
