A medium shrub with bronze new growth. Older wood is a shiny gray color. Dark green leaves grow on infrequent branching rods. Often used for basketry, also a good specimen for a wind/snow break. Requires moist soil to thrive. Will grow on well drained drier sites with less vigor.
