A mid-sized tree with twisted 'corkscrew' reddish-gold new branches and bright-green leaves. It bears small, yellow catkins in spring. Outstanding ornamental value throughout the year.  Will tolerate poor soil better than most salix varieties.

Thrives with modest to heavy watering, but will grow in a wide variety of soils once established.
